Pelargonium-Geranium 제라늄 잎
Charcoal, chalk, paper

Influenced by Karl Blossfeldt,
I took a section of the geranium plant
and decided to enlarge the scale on paper.
The intention was to create a different aesthetics
with something ordinary as a geranium plant.
Such plants are grown commonly in people’s homes,
often decorating the veranda or a window sill.
Looking at this one would not know for sure whether
it is a geranium plant or not.

I was truly absorbed in doing this still-life.
When I was drawing the leaves,
I concentrated on making them appear sensuous and voluptuous.

칼 보스펠트의 사진처럼 식물의 한 부분만 선택하여 확대 했다.
일상적인 식물인 제라늄을 확대시켜 완전히 다른 식물로 변신하였다.
볼륨과 잎파리의 선에 집중하였다.
